While the exact cause of his death has yet to be determined, his departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him.

Sunday was a beloved figure in the Ashongman area, respected not only by the Nigerian community but also by Ghanaians. He was originally from the eastern part of Nigeria and later made Ghana his home, where he built a family and a thriving business with his Ghanaian wife. The couple had five children together.

One of Sunday’s most notable contributions to the Ashongman community was his popular bread bakery (Taste Smile). Known for its delicious, freshly baked goods, the bakery was highly recommended by residents of Ashongman, Dome, and Kwabenya. Sunday’s bakery provided jobs for many Ghanaians and was a staple of the local community.

Sunday lived a simple life, shying away from controversy and focusing on his work and family. His humility and dedication to his craft earned him respect and admiration from all who knew him. His ability to bring together the Nigerian and Ghanaian communities through his businesses and personal relationships made him a cherished figure in the area.

Sunday’s one-week observation will be held at his residence on April 23, 2024. It will be an opportunity for the community to come together, share memories, and pay their respects to a man who touched so many lives.

Sunday Erondu, or Ngwa as he was popularly known, may be gone, but his legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of the Ashongman community and beyond. Rest in peace, Sunday. You have done well, and you will not be forgotten.
